[NU Sports] What the heck is our offensive game plan???

I think we're too enamored by the T word (tempo) to worry about PLAY CALLING.

Our tempo has led to just as many sloppy situations as advantages. I could care less as long as we get the friggin' play off and not burn a timeout in the first quarter because we can't get the play in.

Of bigger concern is the plays we call with that tempo.

On our first series of the second half, every play but ONE was within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage. Dink passes for losses, dink runs for gains of 1 and a friggin 2 yard dump pass on THIRD AND FRIGGIN' FIVE!!! Interestingly, the one pass we did throw more than 3 yards forward, we got a flag and a first down on.

At least our defense is trying to do something to force the issue - you get burned, you get burned, but they're risking it.

The offense is dinking and dunking and it's only worked on one drive. We need to worry less about getting cutesy with tempo and substituting the quarterback and worry more about spreading out the field - side to side AND north and south, as ATM has been doing on their last couple series.
