[NU Sports] Texas A & M tragedy

They will either play the game for their team mate, or let it bother them.
A good O-Line coach and offensive coordinator would try to focus the unit's efforts at
respecting the kid's memory, unless they are already looking beyond the game to their next
job, where ever that might be.
But I'm not surprised at someone getting killed on the back roads of east Texas. Back in
76, the Texas State Network sent out a notice that they no longer wanted stories on single
or double fatality accidents because there were just too many out on the roads every
night.
You did try to avoid hitting the vultures, however, because they could come through your
windshield with fatal results for both you and the bird. They could also tear up your car
pretty well.
Sad story, typical of backwoods driving.

He was a back-up offensive lineman, but apparently very popular with his teammates and
really respected by the recently-ousted Head Coach, Mike Sherman. A very sad footnote to
the game that is now 8 days away. One wonders how the A & M players will absorb this
latest blow, just weeks after Coach Sherman was shown the door.

Yes sad story, that bird was a long way from home as there are no buzzards
in North America, it was probably a vulture, he should have run it over.
