[NU Sports] Bowl ban for Ohio State

It was inspiring to see the OSU president and AD standup for what's right
and good and throw Tressel under the bus. OSU gets hit with failure to
maintain oversight of the athletic programs (emphasis on the "s") but the
only staff member who loses his job and/or faces NCAA sanction is Tressel,
who gets hit with a 5yr. show cause order that effectively ends his
collegiate career. That Tressel deserved it is not my problem; can someone
explain why Gene Smith still has a job since he is the one who has
oversight responsibility?
That's a rhetorical question in case you couldn't tell.
