Yeah, a news embargo doesn't mean what it used to (and it didn't mean that
much!)

As I recall, not many expected the USC sanctions to be as harsh as they
were, either. The NCAA Rules committee has been rather unpredictable.
Ohio State has cast Jim Tressell as the villain in this melodrama, but
will the NCAA be content to play the role of the faithful friend?
