The first bowl game today wasn't that interesting unless you're
a Temple fan, but the second and third games both involved last
minute lead changes, with Ohio getting its first bowl game win
after several losses, scoring in the last minute after one of the
longest and most confusing official reviews I've seen (though
in the end I think they got the right call), and UL-Lafayette winning
its first ever bowl game with a 50 yard field goal as time expired,
after San Diego State had taken the lead with 35 seconds left.
(A defensive penalty cut five yards off the attempt, and it looked
to me like the kicker would have been short otherwise.)
Oh well, on to the NFL tomorrow, to see if the Bears have yet another
excruciatingly painful way to lose a game.
