As I said, for financial reasons I don't support an expanded playoff
system.

The teams that would be competing in an expanded playoff system already
have fourteen game seasons (12+league championship+bowl game).  Two
teams would play fifteen games.  Two teams would play sixteen games.

The EXISTING bowl game season starts on December 17th.  So clearly some
teams are already dealing with the issues involving their academic
calendar.  In the case of NU, today is the end of Fall finals.  Winter
term starts January 3.

You really want college football teams to play sixteen games?  And
