> *Yawn* FCS says hi. And if FBS were truly worried about playing too many games they wouldn't have increased from 11 to 12 games in the regular season or added CCs as a potential 13th game. The only reason there isn't already a playoff is the top conferences don't want to share any more money with the others than they possibly have to. Everything else is smokescreen. (Not that money can't be a valid reason; I just wish TPTB would be honest about it instead of insulting our intelligence.)

Don't forget that there's still the 13th regular game exception for 
games played at Hawaii (possibly elsewhere) early in the season, which 
is why Colorado has a record of 3-10.

I don't know that any school with serious aspirations to play in
their conference championship game would take advantage of that
exception these days, though.
