I have no problem with the rent a guy M.O.
While different circumstances,Cal had Aaron Rodgers for 1 year as a transfer and it helped put Cal on a streak of several good years even after Rodgers left.
We should be trolling for a few of these guys as an alternative. I wouldn't recommend it as our main recruitment tool, but if it could help us, I'd go for it. Those of us old enough to remember, might recall that Mike White turned around U of I by going after JC's. Again It was a different strategy, but one that a coach saw an opportunity to exploit a rule. White abused the rule. I doubt Fitz would
The rule allows the immediate eligibility if your current school doesn't have a certain graduate program that the new school does (which of course you enroll) Short of Dental school, NU has just about every other major grad program.

So Bielema is now into rent-a-QB mode? Can't develop his own?
