Let's see, Joe Flacco lost his starting job at Pitt, transfers to U of DE  
and eventully earns a job on the Ravens.

But a Penn State guy tries the same thing and starts, but doesn't play past  
his SR year.

I personally think its a crap shoot for kids with talent who make a choice  
then find out that they are just one of 85 guys trying for 22 slots.

All the talk has to affect Wiscy's QB recruiting, and what's to stop a top  
WR on a 85% running team or a #3 RB on a top team from doing the same thing?

It's almost like free agency and 	I'm not sure college football is ready for  
that.

He now has the luxury of picking and choosing those players who
represent upgrades for him at positions where his recruits haven't
developed as he may have liked, or where he has issues with injuries
(QB).

Of course this also raises the issue of who gets dropped from the team
if they do add more transfers, but I suspect at programs like UW that
isn't a concern.

How long before this becomes a normal practice for every big-time
program?
