[NU Sports] MSU 22 Wisc 21

I'm loving the title game so far - lots of fun, festive atmosphere with both fans, etc. And a heck of a game. You can tell that Sparty REALLY wants that title that they felt was taken from them last year. I'm also getting the feeling between this game and last year's Rose Bowl that the Smug Smirk does not have the Big Game Touch that Alvarez had (he seems to have trouble sticking to the script of pounding the ball).

As for it being in Indy, I know some have a problem with it, but I think it's really the best choice. Chicago is just not a good spot to stage a major sporting event. Especially one that happens within a week like this. Everything is spread out and tough to get to. Indy is centralized with the airport/hotels/food/stadium all nearby, easy to get to for the day-of-game fans as well and they have a staff that has experience handling big-game events -- from Final Fours to this year's Super Bowl. It's a natural fit and  a perfect centralized choice. As for it not being outside, the Big XII games at Arrowhead seemed more miserable than classic for the fans and the Big Ten at least has teams with field turf and (until a couple years ago) a dome. The SEC is an all-grass (at least for major teams) league and plays their game indoors.

Okie State seems to be working their end, too, by thumping Oklahoma. I have no idea why Sparty and Bucky are not both top 10 teams at this point. The polls are pathetic if they don't have MSU, UW and UM all near the top 10 instead of these Lil' XII teams or Pac 12 teams.

GO CATS!!!

Game should have been "lakeside" at Soldier Field.  Chicago is epicenter of B1G.  But Indy has grabbed ring as an all-sports capital.

And. Art, while I agree that at times game has resembled a track meet, it also features hard hitting, good blocking and tough inside running--i.e., B1G fb.

I can't get into this game at all.  First, I don't care who wins.  Second, I can't shake the idea that this game should be happening outside in the East Lansing weather.  Now they're putting up points like a couple C-USA teams on a Thursday night.  Everything is wrong.
