[NU Sports] Here we go, A&M is leaving the Big XII

Something else is afoot here.
I find it hard to believe that the SEC is going to sit still at 13.
Adding A&M is going to dilute the existing TV split unless the SEC is
able to bring in another big name school(s) to boost ratings. Also A&M
might have had other reasons to leave the Big12, but I'm also skeptical
that A&M would have given up the amount of money that they appear to
have left on the table with the Big12 unless they felt that there were
bigger opportunities brewing with the SEC.
It will also be interesting to see what the early termination penalties
are for A&M. As I recall, they were fairly substantial for Nebraska.
In Nebraska's case, though, they were coming to league that was going to
pay them more TV money than they were going to get by staying in the
Big12, so that's an easy ROI calculation to work out.

And in the Big XII too? (Kind of like the baseball trade where team X
GAVE a player to team Y and then announced that both teams were
improved.)
I wonder if the Big XII officials are going to give A&M more penalties
this year. There was some statistical evidence that Nebraska and
Colorado
got more than their share of flags in 2010.
