Doh! You are correct ... Butch was gone. My blurry eyes last night had me thinking it just clipped his tenure there.

I guess the encouraging thing of this mess is that the Cane program didn't "get what they paid for" during that span and went from national title contender to ACC mid-level team under his booster's reign of terror.

Note that Butch Davis wasn't actually at Miami for any of these allegations, which took place between 2002 and 2010, after he already bolted for the NFL.
In any case, this is indeed quite a story.
