[NU Sports] FW: Lundquist and Musburger Named NFFOutstandingContribution to Amateur Football Award Co-Recipients

Don't think so.

Northwestern is happy to count him as an alum even though he didn't
graduate. All of the references I could find use the word "attended"
rather than "graduated". It appears that he left Medill to work for the
Chicago American. It was an afternoon tabloid that was folded into the
Trib in 1974. By then Mushberger had made the successful transition to
TV and never looked back.

I always assumed he graduated. When he and Irv Cross used to do the
games together each would mention any time NU's name came up,"Hey isn't
that your ala mater ?". I assume ala mater refers only to graduates not
attendees but I don't know my Latin

I had always heard Brent was an NU dropout? Have I misheard all these
years?
Says below he is a Medill grad.
