[NU Sports] Beano???

I've kind of been watching this OSU mess from the sidelines - more as schadenfraude and shedding no tears - but this story on PTI today caught my eye:

So your answer to a program under NCAA scrutiny is to hire a coach who had a couple dozen players arrested during a brief tenure in Gainesville??? Give me a break.

And as a second reaction ... thank goodness Lloyd Carr is gone or else OSU/Michigan week with Carr and Meyer would drown under all the whine coming from the two coaches.

But thanks for the laugh, Beano. How many Heismans is Ron Powlus going to win again? :) Between that and RichRod's interview saying it was a "mistake" to leave Morgantown for Michigan, it's been a good week for humor in the college football world.

Seriously though, this OSU mess is not going away - the one Buckeye fan I teach with is getting worried. I don't think they'll get rid of Tressel, but I do think this could impact the team over the next few years in recruiting and such.
