Folks

Don't bet on a "Sea of Purple" when ND comes into Evanston. The allure of the game is the huge population of Irish Catholics living in Chicagoland coming for an hour drive to see their beloved Domers. I suspect that we would be in a minority.

Unfortunately it's not because of 2 great traditions or a great historic rivalry. Now if we were coming off a Rose Bowl win the prior January, maybe it would be a bit more even

Let's hope by then there will be 40,000+ NORTHWESTERN fans in the seats, not
the other way around. I can remember after a '65 home game with ND my
sophomore year walking home wearing my band uniform and being booed by kids
I had never seen in my life. And this was in Evanston!
