[NU Sports] NU/ND renew football rivalry - just announced on Mike &Mike ESPN show

NU used to be one of the early season "patsies" for ND. Good to revive the series when we
have coach and team worthy of playing them. Navy shouldn't be the only team to feast on
the Irish.

I remember when we played them in 1972, I walked up to (then) Dyche to watch the game, and
ND was unloading their bus at the south end of the stadium. I always swore that the
linemen picked up the bus and shook the equipment out on the ground, they were that
big....

And did they put a beating on the Cats that day.

It wasn't until I graduated that NU started to beat ND, and then ND didn't play us
anymore. Too bad, the last few years, we would have had a good shot at victory and a big
win down in South Bend would have been Priceless.

This is great. We have a good shot at cutting down the 37-8 margin though would have
guessed a repeat of the Soldier Field venue as in 1992
