The WSJ's Daily Fix column looked at the bowl games on January 5th.

As of that point Saragin was 18-14 against the actual point spread.

BTW, on a conference basis, the Big Ten was doing the best against
Sagarin's expectations, despite its reputation for bad bowl results.
