Some thoughts from the CMU game through three quarters ...

* Ebert gets two thumbs up! :)

* Love Persa looking downfield on scrambles - with the way our O-line is playing :(, he'll have to be scrambling a lot and can't take all the hits

* The D is nice and aggressive again

* Special teams? Ouch.

* Running game? Double ouch.

* Line play on offense? Yeeeesh. We need a heck of a lot more to win in the Big Ten!

* On the plus side, the crowd seems big, loud and mostly IN PURPLE! I flicked on the KSU game last week and dreamt of what that would look like in Evanston with so much purple ... we're getting closer!

Around the league ...

* Pretty blah day of games, the only two real stories seem to be Robinson's injury for UMesh (how bad?) and Purdue's struggles (will the new QB wake them up? Hopefully not for three more weeks!).

Now let's score again on this drive and start to put the game away, Cats! (Not scoring off the first TO was a bummer, but the strike to Ebert on the second was awesome!).

PS - The officiating team looks pretty confused today (a review on a review? :) ) and our game clock operator needs to look for another job! STOP THE CLOCK at the end of the half when the home team calls a timeout!
