[NU Sports] General thoughts

For those of you not in Evanston here are the things you missed:
Plenty of rain pregame which made attendance pretty horrid even though I thought the marketing department had some effect and our attendance would be have decent with better weather.
An inflatable cat tunnel with fireworks.  Well A for effort, but kind of hokey.  Vandy had an exploding scoreboard ala veck.
We have a new twirler.  Lauren's younger sister.  I believe she is a freshman or sophomore.  I had doubts on a twirler when she first showed up but it has grown on me especially after hearing the backstory from Pete Friedman how she sent an unprompted audition tape.
 
Schmidt distanced himself from the crowd, but only in a negative way over the past 2 games with his fumble-itis.  Arby has the job by default.  We were amazed he got near 100 yards.
I was so glad Persa did not run much.  With EW a work in progress we can't afford to have Persa out for more than a few plays.
Venric looked decent, but he again had punt coverage problems getting in Jeravin's way.
I worry about playing Dunsmore too much.  He has had a lot of surgeries.  I would rather he stay healthy for the big ten season.
Rashad Lawrence.  He not only caught the ball, but ran well with it.  Our receivers are very exciting and have good yac.
