I think it would be reasonable to put in any home-home contract that national TV will be required and the home team is responsible for paying any costs related for making that happen.
For us that is not an issue with the Big Ten network, but if a road game is not televised nationally they must pay the Big Ten network to send a crew to the away site.
I assume that the big ten network is available in all 50 states even if not every cable package has it. If I have to go to a bar that is fine, but if my only recourse is radio or the internet that is not acceptable.
My attempts to watch the internet for sporting events pretty much suck. Watching time shifted TV is fine, because you can pause and wait for the buffer to fill and it does not really matter that you are mintues behind the actual action.
And Rice could be even worse if it conflicts with a cubs game. Force WGN to move us to a different station if there is a conflict instead of going internet only.
Our Vandy trip was pretty good. The drive to/from Chicago was reasonable. Parking was free with only a short walk. Tickets 40-ish yard line were reasonable. Their stadium is pretty nice. The fans not so much. There was a lot of booing and negative commentary throughout the game. Don't be a hater! I did not hear any vandy fan call their players by name while we always call out when dan-dan, ebert(two thumbs up), schmidt(his name is my name too), arby(beef 'n cheddar), etal. make a play. We had some tOSU female students behind us who were cheering against us, but not for vandy. They consistently mocked our cheering. We cheer for our team, not against the opponent and try to be a good visitor in everything we do.
Kind of sad. We were hoping for better from the vandy fans.

The Rice game is likely internet ppv only since it's an away game ther's not
much NU can do about it.
