The referee was Dennis Lipski, who is a Big Ten official, so since I don't think anyone
does split crews any more it was most likely a Big Ten crew.  

Oh well, a win is a win is a win.  I hope the old saying about improving the most between
the first and second game is correct, because I saw a lot of things that need to improve.  

Persa looked pretty good passing (19-21 with no INTs) though he has a lot to learn, like 
how to hold on to the ball and when not to pitch to the back. 

The running game and the defensive line both need to be a lot better by the time the Cats
begin conference play, and the kickoff coverage needs work, too.  Brandon Williams 
had a good first game as the new punter.
