:) - another dissenter (but for a different reason) ... better be careful, or "they" may visit your home and force you Clockwork Orange style to watch hours of Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith until you nod and agree that these divisions are very fair and nicely balanced.:)

I didn't really have that experience. The Nebraska coaches and players, however ... they ran it up ...

Well, to be fair, any school would be the weak link academically in the Big Ten save for a select few from the Ivies or California. But let's see where that is in five years. Penn State's academic reputation and rankings have soared since they joined the league. Nebraska isn't chopped liver (a proud tradition of academic all Americans ... and I hear that the "N" stands for nowledge :) ), and should only get better with the CIC and league membership.

And compared to the other rumored candidates, I think UNL holds up pretty well academically. Mizzou is a nice journalism school, but not too much else. Rutgers is, well, where Tony Soprano went, right? :)
