[NU Sports] Today

One of the things I remember clearly about that game was a chance encounter a
day or two before. I was in line at the McDonald's on Church and happened to be
standing right behind Danny Sutter and some other players. I started asking
Danny about Kenosha and who was starting. I mentioned that he and Geoff Shein
would be great linebackers and he said that Geoff had lost his starting spot. At
first I thought that was a bad thing. Danny told me 'Fitzgerald' had beat him
out for the starting position. I remember thinking, "hmmm - I hope this
Fitzgerald guy is good".

Go Cats!
Jim

:) - that made my day!

Yes I remember it like yesterday - and it still seems like a dream. I just
remember looking at the people around me at Notre Dame Stadium and not knowing
whose faces expressed more shock.

What a great day in NU history!
GO CATS!!!
