I think it worked out pretty well for us. I do wish we played Wisconsin every 
year. Frankly I'd trade Illinois for Wisky, but I realize that is probably not a 
widely held opinion. 

You can tell that the folks at NU are pumped about having Nebraska on the 
schedule (see today's Trib story, and the sales pitch for tix now on the 
website), and that's cool. As a fan of both teams I'm excited, but I'm also 
excited that the NU staff see it as a challenge rather than something to fear. 

Generally speaking, I don't think there's any question that our chances of 
winning a Big Ten title in any given year took a serious hit with the addition 
of the Huskers. Just adding one more team decreases your odds, and adding a team 
of that caliber (assuming the Huskers continue their return to form) even more 
so. On the other hand, the divisional structure and title game open up the 
possibilities a bit, and regardless, the regular season got more interesting.


Should be fun.
