If you give any credibility to "USA Today's" Sagarin computer rankings (they are
a part of the BCS formula), they have the Cats in at #70, presumably because of
a #117 Strength of Schedule.  We're the lowest ranked 1-A program with 6 wins.

But 4-5 Notre Dame is ranked 12 slots higher, after their loss to Tulsa.

We're #27 in the coach/SID poll ... of course, Michigan got 3 votes in that poll
and Penn State got 0 (seriously, they gotta start some type of requirement that
these coaches have actually seen a score ticker!).

For the Big Ten, MSU seemed to take a harsh tumble, down to 16/15, while Iowa
didn't move up much from their impressive showing (15/16). However, UW and OSU
are 7/8 in both and poised to move up at least one with TCU/Utah facing off next
week and Bama/Auburn still facing each other.

And another reason to smile ...

* The Evil Empire and Texas are shut out of any votes ... and SC (media only),
Florida and Miami only got a smattering of votes.

GO CATS!!!
