Agree. At the start of the conference schedule I made the guess that all our BT games this year would be up for grabs. So far this has been the case. 6or better or worse every game could go either way

Subject: [NU Sports] At the half ...

Disappointing effort. As for Alan's question, I'd just say that that's Northwestern football. I know some of you believe we should be beyond that, but we just aren't. We are a team that can beat just about everyone on its schedule ... or lose to just about anybody. We don't have the depth to take a game or two off.

As for the game itself, we seem to be doing well when not KILLING OURSELVES with penalties on offense (UGH! THAT can be fixed, coaches!), but the defense is playing way too safe. I hope it's just Coach Hank saving something for the second half ... I hope. Gotta come out and put this one away early.

As for the Big Ten network, BIG UPS for writing "NU" at the top of the screen on the scoreline - not "NWU" or "N'WESTERN" ... however, the team in the booth could use some work. NU's Martin is OK (but better in the studio) and the play-by-play guy is no Pam Ward, or even close. How many times did they have to look at the replay of Adonis' non-fumble in the first half dumbfounded and hemhawing about clear evidence before Martin finally said that it looked like he hit the ground first??? Ugh.

C'mon Cats - put this one away BEFORE the fourth quarter!

GO CATS!!!
