If the game was not in the Rose Bowl it would feel WRONG.  
Not depressed, but Glendale, Miami, New Orleans are NOT Pasadena.  Either way we will be there as was the case with Pasadena, Orlando, San Antonio, Detroit, El Paso, San Antonio(again), and Tampa.  A NC win outside Pasadena would not feel as good as a Rose Bowl win vs. the Pac Ten champs.  Every dream scenario involves revenge vs. USC.
 
I think Ill-whine-I fans preferred the Rose Bowl trip where they were NOT the big ten champs vs. the Sugar Bowl trip where they were.

To all those harsh critics of national championship in college football:  I assume then that if Northwestern ever reaches the pinnacle of playing in a national championship game that you will not watch it and will be depressed if we win?
