I'm hoping for a cat victory too.
This is based on past Sparty behavior. Hopefully they are looking past
this game and underestimating the team they are going to meet on the
field.
My sense is that it has to be shootout, where we score early and often,
in order for us to win. Demos has to have a good game too.
If it is a grind it out game, our D will really be challenged.
Either by D or by score, we have to get them out of their running game.
Otherwise they are going to just possess the ball, grind up our D, try
to shorten the game, and keep our offense off the field.
If we can force them to pass, we've got a good chance. Our passing game
can hang with anybody.
Forecast is for cold rainy weather. I'm feeling something similar to
the 2000 MI/NU game - NU 54 Sparty 51

This will be the first game I have attended at Ryan Field in over 55

It's Homecoming week so I am seeing the world through purple glasses.
We
have
had the bye week to regroup while MSU is looking ahead to Illinois. Most
of this
rides on Persa but I think Demos will be 3 for 3.
