I thought Kinnick looked great too.

My wife speculated that you probably need a high percentage of season
ticket holders to accomplish this.  They know what section they are in
care enough about the process to buy the right color shirt and wear it
on the right day.  

I agree that we have to walk before we can run.

Standing on third down is a good start.

Hey, I'd just be happy if they handed out purple poms or towels!

That was the only disappointment from the non-game aspect Saturday - we
had such a pumped crowd that we needed something to wave or shake for
the TV cameras.

However, since ALL of the west side (not just students) now stands on
third down, I will give it a pass. :) That alone made my day from the
non-game aspect.

As for Iowa's black/gold stands (Boise State does it with three colors),
it looked pretty cool. But not quite the PSU White Out. I'd love to see
an all-purple Ryan Field some day ... but for now, standing on third
down will suffice. :)
