Sorry - perhaps I should have clarified. No excusing the student language in front of the daughter or such - she should have called the police and they can clamp down all they want.

But I do wonder what the lady expects the university to do about private off-campus housing ... also, complaints about not being able to bike down a street on a game night seem a tad overkill, as do photos of backyard party garbage after a tailgate -- that's the same with or without students.

Homeowners should expect tailgate parties and crowds on gameday. They should not have to deal with foul language in front of a child or public urination - but when that happens, call the cops and not the university president.
