If he uses the same holder, the result will be the same.
Kicking is a pretty esoteric talent, and not every special teams coach is good at it. My
son's college team was absolutely horrible in kicking so they brought in a guy to work
with the kickers one season.
The guys were slamming them from 40-50 yards (this was Div III) after a short time. We get
our HS kicker in touch with him and the kid came back about 15 yards longer, but it still
comes down to the snap and hold.
If you don't think that, get a couple of pals and try holding the ball at different angles
and see what happens when you kick it.
