I haven't looked at the replay, but it is certainly possible that the
blocked kick was the result of a bad hold which would cause a low kick.
What I do remember seeing was a Purdue guy get a great push right up the
gut, reach up with his paw, and swat it down. I can't guarantee you
that the kick was going through the uprights, but I can guarantee you
that if our O-line can't reliably hold off the rush, it doesn't matter
how good the long snapper, holder, or kicker are - our kicks are going
to get blocked.
Demos' reaction to the last missed FG certainly suggested that it was a
bad hold. It was a bad snap.
And it is also possible that Demos suddenly sucks at place kicking, but
I don't think so.

< Demos: What can you say. He's kind of lost his mojo, and needs to get
it back.
I do think the snaps and holds are really throwing him off
Hey, folks. Demos and his holder have had all of spring practice, weeks
more of preseason practice, and six more weeks of games and still more
practice to get it straight. It should have happened long before this.
After last year's slide and the total meltdown in the bowl game, he's
returned to miss several extra points and blown a number of field goals.
Even some successful efforts shakily accomplished. Several were
blocked, but one reason for that is kicking too low, especially on extra
points. I yelled "No!" at the TV when they lined up to try the last
field goal, especially given the yardage required. My fear was
justified. I presume we have another kicker, so let's try him.
