As Tom Bratton - Barnet's O-Line Coach always preached:

"It All Starts on the Offensive Line!"

To which I added an addition.

"And it stops with the Linebackers."

When we were making and holding blocks Saturday night, we were running the ball about 5
yds per carry. When we were letting them get penetration, we'd get to the Line of
Scrimmage. I'm pretty sure they still give awards for pancake blocks. I don't think our
guys are getting any this year.

Go Cats!

My
principal concern (besides the senseless penalties) is the underachieving
offensive line, a veteran unit we thought would be one of our main strengths this
year. Their contribution to the running game and pass protection has been
lackluster at best. Can the OL turn it around in the second half? Yes,
certainly possible. In fact, absolutely essential if we're to reach that
8-4 plateau.
