[NU Sports] Post-game thoughts?

I'm been pondering the Purdue loss for several hours now. I can't come up with 
much that we can hang out hat on. I would argue that the defense played well 
enough to win. They gave up two huge runs, but I think any time we hold the 
opponent to 20 points we should be in a position to win.

I think what we saw on Saturday was that Persa is 95% of the offense and when he 
has a bad night we have a really bad night. The absence of a running game puts 
too much pressure on Dan. I had higher hopes for the offensive line but I'm not 
knowledgeable enough to know what is going wrong in that department. 

The special teams gaffs are probably the most easily corrected and therefore the 
most frustrating. Fumbled punt returns and blocked field goals are just not 
acceptable. I think the next two weeks will prove to be a HUGE test for 
Fitzgerald as a coach.
