[NU Sports] Need some advice from my list brethren....

Neil,

If you don't have an east lot or west lot pass, which I assume you don't you can
park about 3 blocks from the west lot on Central. A local boyscout troup
operates a parking lot 3 blocks west of Mustard's (on the same side of the
street) heading towards the Metra. I think they charge $20 or $25 but it is
SUPER convenient.

Also, go to Google maps and enter this address '1621 Chancellor Street,
Evanston, IL'. It's on a dead end near the intersection of Chancellor Street and
Eastwood Ave. That dead end lines up with the 50 yard line of Ryan field. You
can't park there (I'm guessing there are signs) but you could drop your
father-in-law off there and go back to the boyscout lot to save hime walking the
extra blocks. There is a path where you can walk from that dead end into the
west lot (less than 15 feet).

BTW, the NUMB Tenor tailgate always sets up in that exact location (on the 50
yard line close to the dead end. They will be kind enough to entertain your
father-in-law for 15 minutes while you go and park the car.

Go Cats!
Jim

I will be taking my 83 year old father in law to the Purdue game this
Saturday.  He has recovered from a stroke from two years ago but now walks
slowly and with a cane.  He is fiercely proud and would never have a handicapped

parking permit.  (His two locally based sons have no interest in football hence
he relies on his Los Angeles based son in law for these rare outings.)

I will be driving him to/from the game from Highland Park and would like advice
on the best place to park that is relatively close to the field.  Cost (within
reason) is not an issue, nor really is traffic after the game.  I'd like to get
there early so that we have a smooth evening.

All thoughts welcome,

Neil Kaplan
