> - Second, interesting to note that although the Big Ten preached parody in their clusterf&#! divisional plan (no doubt inspired by the braintrust that brought us the B(C)S), the top three teams in recent years are all in the same division.

Look over a longer time span, factoring out the Callahan years at Nebraska
and perhaps as many as the last five years at Michigan, and I suspect you'd
find that the top teams in the 'other' division have been Ohio State, Penn State
and Wisconsin, while the top teams in our division are Iowa, Michigan and
Nebraska (listed alphabetically to avoid ordering issues.)

> - Third, the good news is that we're in the other division. Which is why I'm hoping Persa comes back 100%, because I like our crossover schedule vs. UNL's and I don't think anyone else in our division really scares us.

When we've beaten Michigan State a few times, I'll be happier. Recently they
have seemed to own us almst as much as we have owned Iowa.

Michigan is still in turmoil, I don't know if RichRod will still be around in a month.

But I don't think it would be much of a stretch to suggest that Northwestern
should make it to the Big Ten Championship game from time to time, possibly as
early as next year if Persa is healthy and things break our way.
