[NU Sports] Indiana firing - good story

Interesting story - not sure I agree with it, though.

Lynch came in under tough circumstances that only NU fans can really understand -- a coach who was building something sadly gone too soon, a history of losing, etc. -- and he was never really given a fair shake. His teams were on the bad end of some bad calls in recent years (ahem ... Michigan game ... ahem) and some close losses that showed how close they were to turning it around.

If anyone ought to be fired in Bloomington, it's the entire athletic department and administration who hired them. First the Kelvin Sampson debacle to decimate their once proud hoops program (yes, Greenspan's gone, but who hired that guy in the first place?) ... then the bright idea of closing the bowl at Memorial Stadium so a normally half-empty football stadium now becomes a 2/3 empty football stadium with a nicer outside entrance.

Win first, then expand the stadium.

GO CATS!!!
