One difference is that in baseball when someone is tossed from a game
they aren't automatically suspended for at least the first half of the
next game.

The problem is that the officials don't really get their JUDGEMENT calls
reviewed, either during the game or afterwards.

When conferences start publicly suspending officials for bad calls
rather than just issuing an apology for bad calls that affect games
(apologies which have been pretty rare this season) then maybe the
coaches can start to relax.

Don't hold your breath!
