And apparently that same crew has been involved in two other games where the 
Huskers were much more heavily penalized than their opponent (including the loss 
to Texas, although Nebraska played horribly enough to lose that game without any 
help). The question going around is whether refs are punishing the 
soon-to-exit-the-league Huskers. I'd like to think not.

The Omaha paper did a breakdown of the penalties. Most were deserved, several 
were inconclusive from looking at replays. Pretty much everyone seems to agree 
that the roughing-the-QB penalty that lost them the game was a bad call. Again, 
I'd like to assume it was just a bad call, not evidence of favoritism. 

Pelini screwed up by getting too angry, but you can understand some frustration. 
He needs to clean that up.

Frankly, I think Fitz needs to do the same thing--he spends too much time 
yelling at refs. Needs to back that off and save it for the big moments in my 
opinion.

No way, in my opinion. You can teach someone to hang on to the ball. You can't 
teach someone to do the things VM can do with the ball in his hands.
