I don't think JoePa has to run anything by Spanier.:)
But this really should come as no surprise. The Nits are a young, talented team (beating MSU this weekend and a bowl win January 1 could vault them into preseason top 10 or so like Wisky last year) and the league is going to get a heck of a lot bigger next year.
He's got Alabama and Nebraska coming into Happy Valley! You knew JoePa wasn't going to miss those big games! It's good for PSU and the league.
