Pelini's whining about officiating is typically misplaced

I don't know if anybody on the list saw the game, but I thought the
officiating was pretty bad against UNL and got worse as the game proceeded.
The last 2 field goal drives by TAMU were saved by phantom penalties.
Now I think a lot of the problem is when you start getting penalties it is
easier for the officials to keep pulling the flag out of their pocket.
We were at Wrigley and had great seats -- section 233(40-ish yard
line) second row past the railing, but even those seats had flaws. The
stadium angle was too low so it was almost impossible to see the whole field
without standing up. Acoustics were miserable. We could not hear the
announcer or the band. Without replay you really need the announcer to be
clear otherwise you lose out on who made(missed) the tackle or who the
penalty was on. The field and the outside of the stadium were beautiful,
but I am very, very glad that this will NEVER happen again.
Brian Peters is clearly the defensive MVP with Dinardo and Vinny very
distant seconds. Brian is our only reliable tackler.
Venric is exciting, but his second lost fumble makes me think he needs to
change to a defensive position.
We are glad we are not going to Madison. We will be at a dog agility
competition and will catch the audio in passing and maybe the 4th quarter.
Unless EW pulls a Kafka-Minnesota it can and will be ugly.
I was hoping for Tempe or Houston, because we regard Dallas a pit of
despair. Oh well we will go anyway.
