This feels so much like the Minny game where Kafka won it with his feet.
It took Denard Robinson to break that single game record of 217 rushing
yards by a BT QB.
Watkins is even more of a wildcard than Kafka was because he's had so
little playing time. The Illini can't really prepare for him and I'm
not sure we know what to expect either.
The D is going to have to step up here and control the game. If we can
stuff the run like we did last week, and prevent the big play, that
takes a lot of pressure off our young QB to make something happen. Our
offense just has to hold onto the ball. If we do that, I think Illini
mistakes should give us enough opportunities to pull out a win. Special
teams could be huge in this game.
Go Cats! Paint Chicago purple.

Without Danny we will have a tough go winning on Saturday but if we step
up and pull off the upset we will be guaranteed at least a .500 BT
record in what many pundits claim is the toughest conference this year.
(Living on the West Coast I will also put in a plug for the Pac 10 as
possibly the best with Oregon, Stanford and Arizona all putting in
strong seasons- I conveniently left off the SEC )
In any event let's hope we can pull out the win and know that on paper
we held our own this year
