It's been awhile since NU women's basketball was worth paying attention to, but beating any SEC team is big news in that sport ... we may have reason to keep cheering well into winter in Welsh-Ryan for the women and men!

PS - For the record, I was just saying how *I* was eating crow at Phillips' Wrigley coup. Seeing the classic stadium decked in purple, seeing all the press - local and national - descending on the game and now coming off a big upset win and a new top 25 ranking, it is already far more successful than I hoped. Hopefully we'll get the W as well, but for now, I'm just thrilled to have an AD who bleeds purple as well (like I said, I saw him more at the Purdue night game than any other NU AD in the past 20 years) and is willing to try new things to broaden our fan base!:)
