[NU Sports] Congrats Mr. Phillips!

No one was saying that the win over Iowa wasn't a great thing. Of course it was. The point being made was that having Lee Corso in town and selling all of your tickets (in a stadium with 10% fewer seats than your home stadium, which had sold out the week before) might be a nice thing, but does it justify rushing to congratulate Jim Phillips before we know the outcome of the game ? Or before we hear any possible complaints arising from the non-football venue ? Who remembers where Corso was 3 weeks ago ? 4 weeks ago ?

If the perjorative 'cave dweller' means waiting for all information about an event to be in before we label it 'a success', wouldn't some of us have to admit to being 'cave dwellers' ?

Oops, I must have missed the memo...Everything that Jim Phillips says or touches or does is an unbridled success. Anyone who thinks otherwise is clearly a bad person

May I say -- and I say this with genuine affection -- that every family

needs a contrarian. Always enjoy your takes, Mr. Herron!

Alan you are being way too generous, if anybody does not think a win over

Iowa and a feature on the national network and a sell out in the friendy

confines is a good thing then crawl back in your cave and let the rest of us

bask in a little sunshine
