May I say -- and I say this with genuine affection -- that every family
needs a contrarian. Always enjoy your takes, Mr. Herron!
>From where I sit:
Say what you want about Lee Corso but the GameDay shtick has undeniably made
for a popular and enduring franchise. This game will be the first college
football game at Wrigley since 1938. The entire country is going to be
watching. We have an interesting team. It's no reflection on Persa, who
after one full season is already one of the best to ever play for the
Wildcats, that Evan Watkins could be the Northwestern version of Tebow --
the guy is 6-6, 245. I mean, come on.
The game is full of storylines, almost all of which -- especially after the
Illinois collapse v. Minnesota -- favor Northwestern.
I say, it's all good.
