[NU Sports] Persa is down

Yup.
 
Busted mine playing soccer.  Heard a bang and my left foot stopped working.  Took about a year to be able to run full speed, but I was about 25 years older than Persa too.  
 
When I saw him walking off the field dragging his right foot I knew it was bad.
 
When I saw his mom comforting him on the sidelines, I knew he was out for the season.
 
He's got a long road ahead, but he's a tough kid so I'm sure he'll be fine.  Would have been better to finish the season with Persa, but this will get Watkins some valuable game experience too.

Brutal news.  I had (elective) achilles surgery 2 years ago.  It is a tough recovery.  He should be running by May or so.

Ruptured achilles tendon. Surgery tonight. Done for year. Quite a hero - what a way to go out.
