Yeah, our blocked punt attempt was a questionable call (that we thankfully rebounded from).

But for me the dumb decision of the game goes to Ferentz/Stanzi for spiking the ball on first down at the end of the first half with 26 or so seconds left and TWO timeouts. They were in the red zone already and it's not like you can take the timeouts to the half with you ... why waste a down? Call the timeout - save one for emergencies or the kick and take three shots at the end zone instead of two.

Not as dumb as the decision that cost 'em the Wisconsin game or in the Mad Hatter's league yet, but still a situation where they settled for three instead of six and it cost them.

Whatever the case, Fitz clearly has Iowa's number. I think Persa nailed it on the head in that Norm Parker's defense is a tough D, but not a surprising D and we usually plan well against it. PSU and MSU made adjustments at the half and changed up their defenses. We just match up well with the Hawkeyes.
