Not to stand in the way of a good rant or anything, but if TCU makes the 
title game then no one is required to take Boise State, including the 
Rose Bowl. Only one non-BCS school can ever have an "automatic" berth 
per season, unless two non-BCS teams make the title game. So the Rose 
Bowl could indeed choose Stanford in that scenario, though they would be 
still under their obligation for the future. It's all there in the rules.
