[NU Sports] FW: stirring the Pat pot

Bo Pelini has done a good job of bringing Nebraska back, but it took
Nebraska almost ten years to make the transition from Osborne to Pelini.

Took OSU more than twenty years (Earle Bruce and John Cooper) to make
the transition from Woody to Tressel.

UoM is going through a similar transition right now and the jury is
still out whether Rodriguez is the guy. 

PSU is certainly going to go through some down years when JoePa hangs
them up.

In other words, it's hard to say what the competitive landscape will
look like in another ten years.  If Fritz becomes our JoePa, he will see
the rise and fall of many of the dominant programs in the BT.  So I'm
not prepared to say that NU couldn't become, even if only for a short
time, the favorite to win the BT rather than the perennial underdog.

Of course it COULD. Realistically this means over the next X years we
would have to beat out OSU ,a perennial powerhouse with hardly ever a
bad year as well as michigan,who is on the way back up. Then of course
Iowa,Wisconcin and PSU are likely candidates on any given year to win
the conference.  Ah and then the Huskers will have to drop (or, tie)
behind us. And of course just having a relatively easy schedule without
OSU won't help too much when we will actually have to win the title game
in the future not just have the best record

 I'm not betting on us winning the BT anytime soon

I could still happen this year. 

Not likely, but I believe a co-championship is still a possibility.
