I just set my Slingbox DVR so that I can watch the game here in Korea. I appreciate the fact that the Comcast description says "Northwestern has won the last five championships" and it doesn't even mention the opponent.
Victory & Honor,
Jim

Actually, Lacrosse, or Tawaaraton as it is called by the Mohawk Indians (part of the
Iroquois Confederation) was the New York based Confederation's substitute for war. The
Mohawks have always added a spiritual dimension to the sport but they almost seem like an
afterthought except when the annual best player award is given.
Lacrosse was always popular in the North East states when I was growing up, those who
played in that area would challenge your "national sport in Canada" reference.
Football legend Jimmy Brown was a Lacrosse star at Syracuse as well as a great football
player. Where I grew up on Long Island it was the Spring sport for women, along with
softball, usually played by the field hockey players but it is challenging Soccer around
here as a new sport for both men and women.
Women's Lacrosse is growing by leaps and bounds out west. The Maryland's, Hopkins and
Syracuse's of the Lacrosse world are not pleased with NU domination of the sport. We can
thank Coach Hiller for bringing the drive that Maryland had back when they dominated
women's LAX (winning 7 NCAA Titles in a row). You can bet that Hiller will stay at NU
until she at least exceeds that record, especially with the recruiting program she has put
into place.

Thanks Chuck for providing some good details. Unfortunately I don't have a clue for your
questions. The only things I know about lacrosse is that it used to be considered the
national sport in canada and was always dominated by the East coast schools (mens anyways)
of Hopkins ,.Maryland and Cornell
If you have a PDA would love to get a few updates during sundays game.
